Your Summer Camp Experience
Tanadoona is located in the Chanhassen/Excelsior community, west of the Twin Cities Metro. The property is 103 acres and sits along the shore of Lake Minnewashta. Tanadoona offers campers a traditional summer camp experience: canoeing, archery, swimming, kayaking, environmental education, high ropes course, and more.
Tanadoona's summer camp season is June 8 - August 26. All counselors participate in training beginning May 26. Select counselors will participate in a ropes course training May 19 - 22.
Counselors live on-site throughout the summer camp season, with free time during most weekends (Friday evening - Sunday morning). All meals are provided.

Build On Your Education
You'll receive nearly two weeks of staff training and on-going team-building sessions. In these training we'll learn about camp activities, behavior management, parent communication, and health and safety skills. These are valuable skills you'll use throughout your life.
Help Youth Grow Strong
Tanadoona counselors are caring individuals who love the outdoors and are dedicated to giving youth an amazing summer camp experience. You will help campers learn about themselves and others, learn new skills and encourage them to have fun in a safe outdoor environment.
While "camp is for the camper," you'll leave having had an amazing summer, meeting counselors from around the world, learning about yourself, and exploring the Twin Cities.
A Camp Fire Camp
Camp Tanadoona is owned and operated by Camp Fire Minnesota and has been a summer camp since 1924. Camp Fire is an inclusive youth development organization, serving boys and girls from across Minnesota through out-of-school time and outdoor programs.
