Your Summer Camp Experience

Camp Tanadoona is located in the Chanhassen/Excelsior community, west of the Twin Cities Metro. The property is 103 acres on Lake Minnewashta. Tanadoona offers campers a traditional summer camp experience: canoeing, archery, swimming, kayaking, environmental education, high ropes course, and more.

Camp Tanadoona's summer camp season is June 8 - August 22. All counselors participate in two weeks of training, beginning May 25. Select counselors will participate in a ropes course training the week of May 19.

Counselors live on-site throughout the summer camp season, with free time during most weekends (Friday evening - Sunday morning). All meals are provided.

Tanadoona counselors are caring individuals who love the outdoors and are dedicated to giving youth an amazing summer camp experience. You will help campers learn about themselves and others, learn new skills and encourage them to have fun in a safe outdoor environment.

While "camp is for the camper," you'll leave having had an amazing summer, meeting counselors from around the world, learning about yourself, and exploring the Twin Cities.

A Camp Fire Camp

Camp Tanadoona is owned and operated by Camp Fire Minnesota and has been a summer camp since 1924. Camp Fire is an inclusive youth development organization, serving boys and girls from across Minnesota through out-of-school time and outdoor programs.
