We're celebrating 90 years of summer camp at Camp Tanadoona in 2014!
At Camp Tanadoona we value the important decision parents make to send their child to summer camp. Please take some time to learn more about Camp Fire and Camp Tanadooa through the menu items to the left and conact us with any additional concerns.
A message from our Outdoor Programs Director Rebecca Lewis:
Camp is one of the most important experiences you can give your child. Camp changes lives, offers new experiences, and is truly a place where life-long friendships are built. I hope that you have as many memories of camping in your youth as I do. I have amazing memories of camp as a child, counselor, and as a great family experience. Camp isnít a one-time thing; itís a life-time activity. At Tanadoona we offer progressive programming throughout a camperís lifetime. Campers are continually building on the skills they learn week-to-week; year-to year.
Itís amazing to meet a five-year-old day camper and watch her step into a canoe for the first time, and to see that same camper ten years later stepping out of the canoe after completing a week on the water at Camp Bluewater. Then, to see that same camper become a CIT or even a counselor; sharing her experiences with a first-time camper. I hope Tanadoona is an experience she can share with her own kids one day.
Thanks to the generosity of camper families and the community, youíll see some exciting changes at camp this summer through our Campaign for Camp Tanadoona! Weíll be making improvements to existing buildings and making some additions so your camper will have an even better experience at Tanadoona. Learn more about Captial Campaign for Tanadoona.
Summer 2014 is going to be another amazing summer at Tanadoona! I hope youíll take advantage of all that Tanadoona has to offer. Donít hesitate to contact us with any questions, I am always happy to talk with camp families.
