"Big Fire" of unkown origin blazes up through the roof of the mansion, destroying the attic. |

First season at Camp Tanadoona, directed by Miss Margaret Fletcher. |

Screened cabins replace tents. |

Corona Lodge built. |

Awanka built. |

Shangra Lodge built. It was originally used as a cabin for high school age campers. |

Blue Bird Lodge built. |

Katawa ("Place of Meeting") built with funds from Camp Fire donut sales. |

Tasiago ("Take Pleasure in Eating at the Building of the Arrow") built with funds from Camp Fire donut sales. Tenterra built to provide a primitive camping experience for older campers. |

Tenterra renamed Camp Matakaki in honor of a Camp Fire girl following her death. Camp Matakaki functioned as a "camp within a camp" for a number of years at Camp Tanadoona. |
